Here is what the letter states. If you are a registered voter and did not receive an absentee ballot request form you can print off one below or contact City Hall.

Dear Centerville Voter;

With growing concern of the COVID-19, the City of Centerville is taking proactive steps to help stop the spread of this virus through social distancing.  You will find in this mailing an application for an absentee ballot for the upcoming April 14th election. If you would like to exercise your right to vote and do so with an absentee ballot, please complete the application, including boxes 1, 2,3,4,5 and 7.  In box 4 please check ‘municipal’ and for box 7, please sign and either have signature notarized OR you could make a copy of your driver’s license, OR you could take a picture of your driver’s license and text it to me at 605-214-0908, and I will print it off and include with application when it is received.

Please return the application and attachments to the City of Centerville.  You may put the items in an envelope and drop in the drop box outside of City Hall or mail back to the City of Centerville .  Once the application is received, we will mail you the ballot with instructions on how to return to us before election day of April 14th, 2020.

Thank you in advance for keeping the community safe.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call 605-563-2302.
